Head of Category – Marketing & Professional Services

This is a role working within the developing Procurement organisation and reporting to the Head of Procurement of Deliveroo that also offers a rare opportunity to be a part of one of the fastest growing tech startups at a very exciting stage. You will be based in London HQ and we’re operating on a hybrid model.

You will further mature the existing category of Marketing and Professional Services with a responsibility for working closely with a broad range of colleagues to manage a high profile external spend of circa £300m per annum that is important to our growth plans. We will look for you to bring expertise in this broad category area regards supply base, shaping the category, creating appropriate relationships with main suppliers and being an important ‘Business Partner’ within Deliveroo.

Responsibilities

Be part of developing and then advocating the procurement strategy for the Group
Improve, best value partnerships with suppliers, contributing to spend targets and.
Manage a small team of Procurement professionals.
Work with the Finance and Legal teams to ensure compliance within the Marketing and Professional Services areas.
Oversee the development of important, strategic relationships and our most valuable negotiations with our suppliers
Influence and build relationships across the category, and through this, become a trusted advisor and ‘important friend’ to the executive and senior management.
